2021 Valle de Inez Pinot Noir TO GO

2021 Valle de Inez Pinot Noir TO GO
Introduced in 2016, Valle de Inez, which translates as Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara Wine Country, explores the blending potential across California’s many unique appellations. Valle de Inez is a sister brand of Margerum Wine Company and embraces the spirit of collaboration and allows us to foster relationships with like-minded producers and make wines from the cold coastal regions of California with an emphasis on wines that are food-friendly and over-deliver for their price. Produced entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown at sustainably farmed and SIP certified vineyards in Coastal San Luis Obispo County, this Pinot Noir offers bright, clean flavors with minimal new oak. It is bottled before the next harvest to preserve the charm and fresh red fruit flavors that distinguish the varietal. Vineyard Region: San Luis Obispo County Vintage Conditions: The California Central Coast had a cool spring and mild summer temperatures that extended the growing season. Harvest began in the fall allowing for increased flavors due to hang time. The weather was mild, and we had a long timeframe in which to carefully pick for optimal flavors. Yields were slightly above average but the weather cooperated permitting us to have pronounced flavors and aromatics. We are very happy with the quality of the wine and the “numbers” (pH, TA, Alc.) are perfect resulting in very balanced wines. Maturation: This wine was aged 10 months in 28% new French Oak. Palate: Cranberry and bay leaf with integrated tannins and a soft finish Aroma: Bing cherry, dried cranberry and allspice
